Job Description:
Location: San Francisco, California (Hybrid)
This role serves as the Training Lead for a global Point of Sale (POS) transformation program. The position is responsible for the complete training lifecycle, from strategy and planning to hands-on content development and delivery. The successful candidate will partner closely with the Change Lead and cross-functional teams to enable the adoption of new POS hardware and software across retail stores. This requires an organized, adaptable individual who can quickly learn new systems and is comfortable working in ambiguous environments.
- Partner with the Change Lead on impact assessments, training strategy development, and audience segmentation.
- Build and manage the training roadmap, timelines, milestones, and review processes.
- Develop end-to-end training materials, including virtual instructor-led training (VILT), train-the-trainer guides, quick reference guides, and FAQs.
- Create training content for POS software navigation and hardware usage.
- Enable the Store Operations team to deliver training to field users and build toolkits for managers and trainers.
- Support training rollout execution, including scheduling and tracking.
- Define and track training success metrics.
- Collaborate with key partners such as the Change Lead, Store Operations, and Product Managers to refine and validate training content.
Experience: Recent instructional design and training development experience within the last 5 years. Proven hands-on experience building and delivering training content in fast-paced transformation programs. Must be a hands-on individual comfortable owning both strategy and execution.
Skills: Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills. Ability to quickly learn new systems and processes and work under tight timelines.
Technical Skills: Familiarity with training tools such as Captivate or Camtasia and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Retail or POS-related training experience.
- Exposure to change management frameworks.
- Experience in enterprise environments.
- Familiarity with modern training tools, including AI-enabled content generation tools.
