About the Role

Our client is seeking an Industrialization Design Engineer to support the introduction of new products into a high‑volume manufacturing environment. This role works closely with engineering, manufacturing, and cross‑functional teams to ensure smooth product transitions from development to production, with a strong focus on manufacturability, process optimization, and documentation.


This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with manufacturing equipment, processes, and machines, with a strong focus on optimizing performance and ensuring products are built efficiently and correctly.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) efforts by helping transition products from development into manufacturing
  • Work directly on the production floor to support manufacturing processes and equipment
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure products are designed for manufacturability (DFM/DFA)
  • Help define and support equipment, tooling, and fixture requirements, including setup and validation
  • Assist in prototype builds and pilot production activities
  • Troubleshoot and improve manufacturing processes to drive efficiency and quality
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and cost-reduction efforts
  • Support cross-functional teams to ensure production readiness across multiple projects
  • Maintain and develop documentation related to manufacturing processes and product builds
Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering (Mechanical preferred)
  • 0–2 years of experience; internships or co-ops in manufacturing environments strongly preferred
  • Hands-on experience with manufacturing equipment, machinery, or production environments
  • Exposure to machine operation, programming, or automation (e.g., CNC, 3D printing, CAM, or similar) is a strong plus
  • Experience working from engineering drawings to execute builds or processes
  • Familiarity with CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot mechanical or process-related issues
  • Comfortable working in a hands-on, floor-based role rather than a desk-only environment
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
Nice-to-Have Experience
  • Background in electronics or PCB assembly (PCBA) manufacturing
  • Experience with coating, printing, or precision application processes
  • Exposure to ERP systems (e.g., SAP)
  • Understanding of manufacturing methodologies such as DFMA or PFMEA
