Role Title: Financial Data and Systems Analyst

Office location: Downtown Toronto, ON

Hybrid work requirements: 2 days a week in office

Open to remote work, but candidates that can come to the office are heavily preferred


Role Mandate:

This team is involved in portfolio management. This role will enable business performance through the strategic management of financial data, systems, and reporting tools. This role supports decision-making by ensuring the integrity, accessibility, and usability of financial information across the organization.


Team Structure:

The team is mid-sized, with around 10 people with 6 direct peers. There is a high component of independent work, but you will collaborate with your team frequently


Role Responsibilities:

- Assist with and resolve SharePoint and Power Apps requests

- Support system upgrades, integrations, and automation initiatives to improve reporting and analytics capabilities.

- Ability to conduct technical investigations and resolve complex issues

- Validate requests for funding & review contracts

- Maintain and enhance financial data structures and repositories to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance.

- Develop and enforce data governance standards in collaboration with Finance, IT, and Business Enablement teams


Must Have Skills:

- Post-secondary degree

- 3 years PowerAutomate skills and experience

- 3 years previous SharePoint experience

- 3 years previous Power Apps experience

- 3 years Power BI experience

- Strong Communication

- Demonstrates strong ability to investigate and resolve complex technical issues within software systems. Skilled in debugging, root cause analysis, and implementing robust solutions to ensure application stability and performance. Applies analytical thinking and coding expertise to troubleshoot problems across development, testing, and production environments, driving timely and effective resolutions.

- Ability to work independently

- Managing priorities/triage in a high-volume environment

- Positive mindset, flexibility



Nice to Have Skills:

- Former financial analyst experience

- Previous business management experience

- Experience supporting systems development

- SQL experience

- Background in databases and other programming languages is desirable

- Technical background


Interviews:

- 1st round 30-60 minutes over teams, potential second round in person

- Mix of behavioral technical questions

- Interview will be with the HM primarily, but they may bring in a colleague for technical questions
