Role Overview
BMO Corporate & Commercial Banking is seeking a collaborative and user-focused UX/UI Designer to support the modernization and enhancement of digital banking experiences across multiple web-based applications.
This role focuses on designing intuitive, accessible, and scalable user interfaces while helping evolve legacy systems and introduce new features that improve both client and employee experiences.
The ideal candidate is passionate about user-centered design, visual consistency, and solving complex problems through thoughtful digital experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Create wireframes, mock ups, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs using Figma
- Design new features and user experiences across a variety of web-based applications
- Work within established design systems and contribute to maintaining consistency and scalability
- Collaborate closely with business analysts, business users and developers throughout the design and implementation process
- Produce clear design documentation, specifications, and developer handoff assets
- Advocate for usability, accessibility, and user-centered design best practices
- Balance business objectives, user needs, and technical constraints to deliver practical and effective design solutions
- The resource must be willing to work as BA during down times
MUST HAVE
- 1-3 years of experience designing for enterprise or complex web-based applications
- Proficiency in Figma, including component libraries, responsive design and prototyping
- Strong understanding of UX/UI design principles, interaction design, and accessibility standards
- Strong visual design skills with attention to detail and consistency
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills within cross-functional Agile teams
- A portfolio showcasing UX/UI design projects and problem-solving approaches that you can share with us
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience in financial services or enterprise environments is considered an asset
