Client: Big 5 Bank
Location: 1-3 day hybrid Downtown Toronto, Ontario
Terms: 6 month contract, Strong possibility of extension
Hours: 37.5 hours/week Monday-Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

What you’ll be doing
- As a member of the Enhancements, Compliance and Reporting team within Identity & Access Lifecycle Services, you’ll play a key role in optimizing Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) processes and driving automation and analytics solutions. As a Consultant, Automation & Analytics, you’ll develop and implement solutions using self-serve tools such as Power Apps, Power Automate, VBA, Alteryx, Azure DevOps, and Tableau to address business challenges and enhance operational efficiency.
- You’ll support the resolution of routine and non-routine operational issues by investigating, analyzing, and providing informed recommendations on compliance matters, policy changes, operational controls, risk assessment, and control activities. Your work will help ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, deliver insightful reporting to support risk management and business objectives, and foster continuous improvement across the team.
How you’ll succeed
- Automation & Analytics Solutions – Design, develop, implement, and support applications using no/low code tools (VBA, Alteryx, Power Automate, Power Apps), analytics software (Tableau, Power BI), databases (SAS, Oracle, SQL Server), and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) to solve business problems and improve operational processes.
- Identity and Access Governance – Apply your knowledge of Identity and Access Management (IAM) approaches, tools, and techniques to provide guidance to stakeholders and ensure effective governance and compliance.
- Operational Excellence – Investigate, analyze, and resolve operational problems, offering independent recommendations on compliance issues, policy changes, and risk assessments.
- Collaboration & Relationship Building – Work closely with business and technology teams, facilitating coordination and effective communication to ensure successful delivery and resolution of issues.
- Reporting & Continuous Improvement – Deliver insightful reporting to support risk management and business objectives, and proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
Who You Are
- You have strong technical expertise. You bring 3-5+ years of experience designing, developing, implementing, and supporting applications, with expertise in most of the following: no/low code tools (VBA, Alteryx, Power Automate, Power Apps), analytics software (Tableau, Power BI), databases (SAS, Oracle, SQL Server), cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), ETL tools (Informatica, SSIS), and source control/issue management tools (Git, TFS, JIRA, Azure DevOps, Selenium).
- You’re experienced in information security and IAM. You have strong knowledge of Identity and Access Management processes, key controls, and risk frameworks, and experience with identity and access governance, administration solutions, and cloud-based access controls.
- You’re analytical and solutions-focused. You use your analytical skills to interpret data, investigate issues, and recommend effective solutions that support compliance and operational excellence.
- You’re a collaborative communicator. You work effectively with colleagues at all levels, facilitating alignment, and building consensus to achieve shared goals.
- You’re committed to growth and innovation. You’re eager to learn, take initiative, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a technical discipline is an asset. An MBA or master’s degree with a specialization in advanced analytics, machine learning, or AI, and certifications such as PMP or Lean Six Sigma, are also considered assets.

Daily Job Duties / Activities
- Support and optimize Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) processes
- Monitor and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Maintain audit-ready artifacts (process narratives, SOPs, etc.) and coordinate responses to internal/external audit requests
- Deliver insightful reporting to support risk management and business objectives
- Facilitate coordination between business and technology teams for issue resolution
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to align on objectives and communicate effectively
- Design, develop, and implement automation and analytics solutions using tools such as Power Apps, Power Automate and VBA
- Investigate and resolve routine and non-routine operational problems, providing recommendations on compliance issues, policy changes, and risk assessments
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and automating manual processes
Must Haves
- Strong knowledge of Identity and Access Management (IAM) processes and key controls
- Experience with information security, identity and access management, or related fields
- Solid understanding of identity and access governance, administration solutions, and cloud-based access controls
- 3-5+ years of experience designing, developing, implementing, and supporting applications with expertise in most of the following: No/Low Code Tools (VBA, Alteryx, Power Automate, Power Apps), Analytics Software (Tableau, Power BI), Databases (SAS, Oracle, SQL Server), Cloud (Azure, AWS), ETL (Informatica, SSIS), and Tools (source control/issue management: Git, TFS, JIRA, Azure DevOps, Selenium)
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with colleagues at all levels

Nice to Haves
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a technical discipline
- MBA or master’s degree with specialization in Advanced Analytics, Machine Learning (ML), or Artificial Intelligence (AI)
- Familiarity with SailPoint IdentityIQ, Workday, or ServiceNow
- Experience with infrastructure-layer access controls
- Proactive approach to identifying opportunities for process improvement and automation

Apex pay scales are determined by role, experience, skill set, and location. For this new position, the estimated hourly range is provided below as a guideline; however, total compensation may vary based on individual circumstances.
