Hybrid 4-5 days a week
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Accountant III – Finance to support enterprise-level Record to Report (R2R) processes. This role is responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and compliant financial information from transaction through financial close and external reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of GAAP, experience working in regulated environments, and the ability to manage moderately complex accounting activities across the full financial lifecycle.
- Execute and support end-to-end Record to Report (R2R) processes, from transaction through financial close, consolidation, and reporting
- Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and regulatory requirements, as well as local and consolidated GAAP standards
- Process financial transactions and identify, investigate, and resolve exceptions
- Prepare and post journal entries for moderately complex general ledger accounts
- Perform account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness of trial balance activity
- Execute accruals, adjustments, and other accounting support activities as assigned
- Support audits, ad hoc requests, and special projects across finance teams
- Maintain and enhance documentation for accounting processes, reconciliations, and allocations
- Apply technical accounting guidance from team leads and subject matter experts in alignment with global standards
- Assist with ERP and R2R tool implementation and improvement initiatives
- Track and support performance metrics at individual, team, and functional levels
- Participate in rotational assignments across business lines, legal entities, and geographies to broaden knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Demonstrated experience performing core accounting processes with moderate supervision
- Working knowledge of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Public accounting experience, preferably within financial services
- Experience working across the full accounting lifecycle (transaction through close and reporting)
- Familiarity with accounting systems such as PeopleSoft or similar ERP platforms
- Experience supporting customer inquiries or working with business stakeholders
