Operations Automation Consultant – Capital Markets

Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid)

 
Role Overview

An opportunity is available for an Operations Automation Consultant to support a growing automation pipeline within an Institutional Investment Banking Operations team. This role is focused on designing and building automation solutions that improve operational efficiency, streamline workflows, and reduce manual effort. The team is prioritizing technical problem-solvers who can quickly learn the business and begin delivering solutions immediately.

 
Key Responsibilities
  • Design and build automation solutions to enhance operational efficiency and streamline workflows.
  • Develop process improvements and workflow automation using tools like Alteryx, Power Apps, or Xceptor.
  • Partner with Business, Technology, Risk, and Compliance teams to deliver scalable automation solutions.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and control enhancement in a regulated banking environment.
  • Support operational transformation initiatives across trade processing, settlements, custody, and funding operations.
  • Deliver solutions independently and manage stakeholder communications effectively.
Required Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience building automation solutions.
  • Experience with Alteryx, Power Apps, or Xceptor.
  • Ability to develop workflow automation and process improvements.
  • Background within Investment Banking or Capital Markets Operations.
  • A strong problem-solving and technical mindset.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Xceptor or Tableau experience.
  • Experience in Securities, Funding, or FX Operations.
  • Background in Middle Office operations or regulatory reporting.
  • Experience with reconciliations, settlements, or custody processes.
  • Knowledge of operational risk, controls, or process improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with AI or advanced analytics.
