Senior IAM Engineer – Cisco Duo SME
Type: Contract
Duration: 15 weeks, potential extension through year-end
Location: 100% Remote, Central or Eastern time zone required
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $60 - 80/hr W2
Travel: One required onsite visit during the project term
Overview
A large organization is modernizing its MFA infrastructure as part of a broader Zero Trust initiative. They are looking for a Senior IAM Engineer with deep Cisco Duo expertise to lead the technical implementation and activation of advanced authentication capabilities. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on platform ownership and execution.
What You Will Do
- Own the Cisco Duo platform end to end, including policy configuration, proxy server administration, and enterprise application integrations
- Activate and configure advanced Duo capabilities including Impossible Travel detection and context-based authentication policies
- Align MFA enforcement with the organization’s Zero Trust framework
- Integrate Duo across enterprise systems and identity infrastructure
- Deliver knowledge transfer and runbook documentation to internal stakeholders
- Participate in and present project updates to senior leadership
What We Are Looking For
- Cisco Duo as a primary platform with hands-on policy configuration and proxy server administration experience in a large enterprise environment
- Experience activating advanced Duo features including risk-based and adaptive authentication in production
- Zero Trust framework implementation experience
- Healthcare or highly regulated industry experience strongly preferred
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present to senior and executive stakeholders
- FIDO2, WebAuthn, or passwordless authentication experience a plus
