Job Description:
Location: San Antonio, Texas (Remote)
We are seeking a senior-level Business Configuration Engineer with XML expertise and ALIP platform experience to support enterprise insurance system initiatives. This role will focus on business configuration, workflow enablement, and product setup within XML-driven systems, while also serving as a technical leader and mentor to analysts. This is a highly collaborative role supporting both client-side implementations and partner teams.
- Execute business configuration within XML-based product systems, including rules, workflows, and configuration logic.
- Work within the Accenture Life Insurance Platform (ALIP) to build and modify workflows and business functionality.
- Configure and support insurance product setups leveraging XML-driven architecture.
- Partner with product, business, and technical teams to support end-to-end system implementation and integration.
- Support and validate API integrations, ensuring proper data flow into and out of ALIP and downstream systems.
- Translate business requirements into system configuration and workflow logic.
- Provide hands-on leadership and mentorship to a team of analysts and junior configurators.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across business and IT to ensure successful delivery and alignment.
- Experience working with XML-based systems and configuration.
- Hands-on experience with ALIP (Accenture Life Insurance Platform), especially within workflows.
- Proven ability to perform business configuration in large enterprise systems.
- Experience working with API integrations and system data flows.
- Senior-level expertise with the ability to lead, mentor, and coach team members.
- Communication skills for working across business, product, and technical teams.
- Experience working directly with or within an Accenture-led environment.
- A background in insurance, particularly life insurance.
- Experience supporting client-side implementations.
- Experience with product configuration and workflow design.
- An administrative and underwriting background.
