Pay: 80-90/hr target pay

 

Role Overview

This role focuses on securing non-human and agentic identities across AI-driven environments. The engineer will work closely with IAM and security leadership to design and implement identity controls that govern AI agents, service accounts, and automated workflows, ensuring proper access, permissions, and containment of risk. The emphasis is on the engineering and implementation of security controls, particularly around access boundaries, permissions, and reducing the blast radius associated with AI agents.

 

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement controls for non-human and agentic identities.
  • Develop and execute preventative and detective controls for unmanaged or risky identities.
  • Define access boundaries and security models for AI agents and automated workflows.
  • Partner with IAM teams to align enterprise identity controls with AI security initiatives.
  • Implement and maintain cloud IAM strategies including RBAC, ABAC, SCPs, role tagging, and permissions boundaries for agent identities.
  • Reduce excessive privilege exposure and limit blast radius in AI-enabled environments.
  • Perform credential and secrets scanning across AI environments to detect exposed credentials.
  • Integrate AI system logs into SIEM pipelines and support the development of detection use cases.
  • Support IGA processes including access reporting, entitlement mapping, and certification for AI-enabled systems.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of cloud experience in securing Cloud Compute Platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and SaaS Applications.
  • Strong IAM engineering background with hands-on experience with non-human identities (service accounts, machine/workload identities).
  • Deep expertise in AWS IAM and cloud-native identity controls.
  • Familiarity with RBAC, ABAC, SCPs, and identity governance frameworks.
  • Understanding of privilege escalation risks, containment strategies, and blast radius reduction.
  • Experience implementing controls programmatically, demonstrating a hands-on engineering mindset.
  • Familiarity with Terraform, Rego/Cedar policy writing, CIEM and CSPM usage, Github, and IAC providers.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Exposure to AI security or agentic identity concepts.
  • Preferred certifications include CCSP and cloud platform certifications (AWS, GCP, Azure).
