Job Title: Lead AI Engineer (Agentic AI)
Location: Raleigh, NC/ Charlotte, NC (CIC) / Irving, TX – Hybrid (3 days onsite mandatory)
Contract Length: 12 months (possible extension or conversion)
Pay Rate: $69/hr - $74/hr

Role Overview
In this role, you will consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Software Engineering. You will review and analyze complex, multi-faceted, and large-scale Software Engineering challenges. This position involves contributing to the resolution of complex situations requiring a solid understanding of function, policies, and procedures to meet deliverables and strategically collaborating with client personnel.
- Design and develop generative AI-driven applications using LLMs and agentic workflows.
- Build and prototype AI agents using frameworks such as LangChain and ADK.
- Develop Python-based applications supporting enterprise AI use cases.
- Implement RAG pipelines and integrate enterprise data into AI solutions.
- Collaborate with architects and engineering teams to align with enterprise architecture standards.
- Contribute to cloud-native application development across Azure, GCP, and OpenShift.
- Support MLOps/LLMOps practices for the deployment, monitoring, and scaling of AI systems.
- Identify and resolve technical challenges related to code, deployment, and performance.
- Perform peer code reviews and ensure adherence to engineering best practices.
- Build demos and prototypes to showcase AI solutions for business stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively in Agile teams, managing branches, code merges, and version control.
- Ensure security, scalability, and compliance of AI-enabled solutions.
- 5-10 years of Software Engineering experience, including 2+ years of Python development.
- Hands-on experience with Generative AI concepts such as RAG and agent frameworks like LangChain/ADK.
- A strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), building scalable applications, and working in collaborative engineering environments.
- 2+ years of experience with multi-cloud environments (Azure, GCP, OpenShift) and hands-on experience with cloud-native development or cloud migration of applications.
- 1+ years of knowledge of retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and/or agentic workflows in generative AI applications.
- Experience with MLOps/LLMOps and AI model deployment.
- Proficiency in DevOps tools and CI/CD practices.
- Financial services or regulated industry experience.
- Background in cybersecurity or secure AI development practices.
- Experience collaborating with product and business stakeholders.
- Expertise in test-driven development methodologies.
