Job Description:
Location: Middleton, WI (Hybrid) or Remote
Duration: 6+ month contract (potential for extension)
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week (M–F, 8am–5pm CST)
We are seeking a Contract Manager to support a leading healthcare organization, with a focus on contracts tied to laboratory and operating room (OR) services. This role is responsible for managing the full contract lifecycle, with an emphasis on risk assessment, contract negotiation, and compliance across clinical vendor agreements.
This individual will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure contracts align with organizational standards while supporting operational needs across lab and surgical environments.
- Review, draft, and negotiate contracts, including redlining terms and conditions in alignment with internal standards and playbooks
- Evaluate and negotiate risk-related contract language (e.g., liability, indemnification, service-level expectations), with a focus on mitigating organizational risk
- Support contract management activities for clinical vendors and services related to lab and OR operations
- Partner with internal teams to ensure contracts meet compliance, operational, and regulatory requirements
- Manage multiple priorities and projects, adapting to evolving departmental needs
- Serve as a resource for contract-related questions, escalations, and issue resolution
- Experience as a Contract Manager or Contracts Specialist
- Background supporting contracts within a lab or operating room (OR) environment
- Strong experience redlining and negotiating contracts, particularly master service agreements and terms & conditions
- Demonstrated ability to assess and negotiate contractual risk (not just pricing/cost savings)
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
- Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to manage shifting priorities and project needs
- Experience working within the healthcare industry
- Exposure to Oracle ERP or similar systems in a contract management context
- 2–5 years of experience supporting contracts in lab, OR, or clinical operations settings
- Hybrid: Local candidates may be asked to attend occasional onsite meetings in Middleton, WI
- Remote: Fully remote option available for candidates outside the local area
- Equipment provided
- Training: 2–4 weeks, depending on experience
- Dress Code (onsite): Business casual (no jeans)
