Location: Chicago, Illinois (Partial Remote)
An opportunity is available for a Product Manager to lead the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of internal Employee Travel applications. This role functions as a digital product owner, responsible for driving the modernization of legacy systems into scalable, cloud-native solutions, while partnering with engineering, architecture, and business stakeholders. The ideal candidate will blend product strategy, Agile execution, and stakeholder alignment to guide teams through application modernization and cloud migration.
- Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for Employee Travel platforms, from vision through delivery and optimization.
- Define and maintain the product roadmap, aligning with enterprise priorities and employee experience goals.
- Translate business needs into clear product requirements, epics, and user stories.
- Prioritize features and backlog based on business value, risk, and technical dependencies.
- Partner with architecture and engineering teams to drive the migration of legacy applications to AWS.
- Support modernization efforts including microservices architecture and API-first design.
- Act as the primary product representative in SAFe / PI Planning events.
- Serve as the bridge between business stakeholders, operations teams, and technology delivery teams.
- Identify, track, and mitigate product and delivery risks and dependencies.
- Support Agile team health by reinforcing Scrum best practices and ceremonies.
- 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager, Product Owner, or in a similar digital product role.
- Proven experience delivering enterprise applications in Agile/SAFe environments.
- Hands-on involvement in AWS cloud migrations or application modernization initiatives.
- A strong understanding of modern architecture patterns like microservices, APIs, and cloud-native design.
- Experience leading or participating in PI Planning and backlog management.
- Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional stakeholders in complex enterprise environments.
- Experience supporting internal enterprise platforms or employee-facing applications.
- Familiarity with airline, travel, or workforce systems.
- Working knowledge of tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.
- Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud cost optimization practices.
- Scrum certification (CSPO, CSM) or SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM).
