Role Overview

The Usability Researcher will lead quantitative UX research to understand customer needs, preferences, and behaviours across largescale consumer products. Work includes designing and running experiments, A/B tests, telemetry analyses, and surveys, and translating complex datasets into clear insights that inform product direction.

The role requires comfort operating in a fastpaced environment with evolving design systems, rapid iteration cycles, and shifting product experiences. The ideal candidate navigates ambiguity well, collaborates across multiple partner teams, and supports experimentation and design convergence at scale.

Responsibilities

·        Design, conduct, analyze, and report on quantitative UX research (telemetry, A/B tests, experiments, surveys).

·        Analyze experiment and behavioral data to identify patterns, pain points, and improvement opportunities.

·        Create presentations, dashboards, and storytelling artifacts for engineers, designers, PMs, and leadership.

·        Partner with cross‑functional teams to integrate insights into product and design decisions.

·        Support rapid experimentation and iteration cycles across evolving product experiences.

·        Evaluate design system convergence, usability impact, and consistency across experiences.

·        Work effectively in a dynamic environment with evolving UI frameworks and live experimentation.

·        Drive user‑centered decision‑making through scalable quantitative research methodologies.

Required Qualifications

·        Bachelor’s degree in HCI, Psychology, or equivalent training.

·        5–7 years as a quantitative UX Researcher on consumer products.

·        Experience with large‑scale consumer platforms, experimentation systems, or behavioral analytics.

·        Experience using AI tools for data analysis and storytelling artifacts.

·        Strong communication skills, interpersonal skills, and customer empathy.

·        Ability to work independently and prioritize in a fast‑paced environment.

·        Expertise in quantitative methods, including:

o   Experimentation & A/B testing

o   Telemetry analysis

o   Survey design & analysis

o   Behavioral data analysis

·        Ability to synthesize complex datasets into actionable insights.

·        Familiarity with evolving design systems and experimentation‑driven product development.

·        Comfortable with ambiguity, rapid iteration, and shifting product direction.

3.      Quantitative Research Methods (Surveys + Synthesis)

·        5–7+ years

·        Survey design and analysis

·        Ability to synthesize behavioral + attitudinal data into insights

 

Ideal Resume: Strong portfolio demonstrating experimentation/A‑B testing, quantitative methods, telemetry/behavioral analytics, advanced statistical analysis, and synthesis into product recommendations.

Typical Day

·        Support scalable usability research by enabling PMs, engineering, and design to run highquality experiments through internal UX testing platforms.

·        Set up and execute usability testing experiments, analyze results, and generate product recommendations to improve user experience.

Interview Process:

·        1–2 interviews with the hiring manager (and possibly one additional interviewer) focused on experience and case‑study review.

Candidates should prepare a portfolio with 1–2 quantitative research case studies demonstrating experimentation and analysis skills.
