Location: Plano, TX (Hybrid)

Employment Type: Contract

Contract Duration: 12 Months


Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst responsible for capturing and refining business and system requirements. This role involves working with stakeholders to understand their needs, analyze problems, and translate requirements into executable specifications for the development team. The position requires a candidate who can support a technology team providing services to internal clients.

 

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and analyze business needs to develop alternative business solutions by gathering, analyzing, and documenting functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Perform data mapping, data profiling, and provide business intelligence development support.
  • Drive User Story generation across business and technology teams to support a healthy backlog of capability development.
  • Trace requirements during implementation to ensure the developed system is consistent with determined system requirements.
  • Document processes, procedures, and workflows associated with applications.
  • Write user stories using Agile methodologies and Jira.

 

Required Qualifications

Experience: 5-7 years of experience as a Business Analyst and 5-7 years of experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies.

 

Technical Skills: Proficiency with Agile tools, particularly Jira. Experience with BI tools and a background in data analysis.

 

Other Skills: Communication skills and analytical skills are required. Prior experience working on a governance team or project is also necessary.

 

Preferred Qualifications
  • A strong understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices.
  • Experience with SQL query writing.
  • Familiarity with Tableau.
  • Knowledge of ETL/Database testing.
