Blockchain Platform Engineer
Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Engineer, Blockchain Platforms to help build and integrate the core blockchain infrastructure powering digital asset custody and tokenization platforms. This role sits at the intersection of blockchain protocol engineering and institutional custody systems, focusing on Layer-1 integrations, wallet architecture, and secure transaction workflows.
This is a hands-on engineering role working closely with cryptography, custody, and security teams to ensure blockchain interactions are secure, scalable, observable, and production-ready.

Key Responsibilities
Layer-1 Blockchain Integration
- Integrate internal systems with Layer-1 blockchains (e.g., Ethereum and similar platforms)
- Evaluate and extend blockchain capabilities to support scalability, resilience, and custody requirements
- Understand and manage core blockchain mechanics including transaction lifecycle, finality, forks, reorgs, and event propagation
- Ensure integrations remain stable and performant under production-scale loads
Blockchain Infrastructure Development
- Design and build core infrastructure services such as:
- Blockchain indexers and event processors
- Block explorers and observability tools
- Chain data services and APIs
- Cross-chain and interoperability components
- Ensure data pipelines are accurate, performant, and auditable
- Develop tools for monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident response
Wallet Architecture & Engineering
- Design and implement blockchain-integrated wallet services
- Build transaction lifecycle components including:
- Transaction creation and signing workflows
- Submission pipelines to blockchain networks
- Integrate with secure key management systems (e.g., MPC, HSMs)
- Ensure clean separation between protocol logic, security layers, and business logic
Custody & Blockchain Operations
- Support custody-related workflows including:
- On-chain transaction execution
- Event monitoring and reconciliation
- Failure handling and recovery mechanisms
- Define safe interaction patterns with smart contracts and token standards
- Ensure workflows align with custody governance, approvals, and risk controls
Engineering Excellence & AI Utilization
- Build highly reliable and observable blockchain systems using modern engineering practices
- Leverage GenAI and agentic AI tools to accelerate:
- Protocol analysis
- Code development and testing
- Documentation and knowledge sharing
- Maintain strong engineering discipline focused on accuracy, security, and performance
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Hands-on experience working with blockchain or distributed ledger technologies
- Strong understanding of Layer-1 blockchain protocols and transaction lifecycles
- Experience building backend systems, APIs, and infrastructure services
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Go, Java, Rust, or Python
- Ability to collaborate across engineering, security, and platform teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building blockchain indexers, explorers, or analytics platforms
- Familiarity with wallet architecture, signing workflows, and key management systems
- Experience working in crypto custody or security-sensitive financial systems
- Strong debugging experience in distributed, asynchronous environments
- Experience leveraging AI tools to enhance development workflows

- Blockchain integrations are reliable, scalable, and observable
- Wallet and transaction pipelines operate correctly across normal and edge-case scenarios
- Custody platforms interact with blockchain networks securely and consistently
- Incidents are quickly diagnosed with strong monitoring and observability frameworks
