Rate: $40-50hr
Location: Irving, TX
- Strong data center or server infrastructure experience
- 4+ years of recent, hands-on infrastructure experience
- Experience leading projects or driving technical work
- Fully onsite in Irving, TX
- Commute within about 30 minutes with traffic
- Must be open to converting full time
- US Citizen or Green Card only
- Ownership is the difference between this and Tech II
- Someone who drives work forward, not just executes tasks
- Experience leading projects, deployments, or infrastructure efforts
- Strong communication and coordination across teams
- Ability to handle escalations and operate as a go-to resource

Salary target: 90K, up to 100K for strong candidates

This role is a step up from Tech II and shifts from execution into ownership.
The Data Center Technician III is responsible for leading data center operations, owning projects, handling escalations, and ensuring infrastructure work is completed end to end in a mission-critical environment.
Project Ownership and Execution
- Plan, schedule, and execute infrastructure-related projects
- Drive work from intake through completion
- Ensure timelines and deliverables are met
Escalations and Problem Solving
- Handle escalations from Technician I and II
- Diagnose issues and lead resolution
- Support critical incident response and recovery
Infrastructure Operations
- Monitor and respond to failures across power, hardware, network, and facilities
- Analyze alerts and determine root cause
- Troubleshoot and remediate hardware issues
Deployment and Implementation
- Support rollout of new infrastructure components and services
- Install and support fiber and ethernet cabling
- Execute infrastructure upgrades and changes
Process and Operational Improvement
- Create and improve processes for auditing and operational standards
- Maintain inventory and asset tracking
- Improve workflows and operational efficiency
Team Collaboration
- Work across infrastructure, operations, and engineering teams
- Communicate clearly with stakeholders and leadership
- Act as a trusted resource for the team
- 4+ years of recent infrastructure or data center experience
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis
- Experience in enterprise environments
- Exposure to monitoring tools like Dynatrace or Datadog
- Knowledge of data center operations and DCIM platforms
- Ability to coordinate across multiple teams
- Strong communication and organization
