Job Description:
Location: Redmond, Washington (Onsite)
COMPENSATION: $74 - $84 HOURLY
This role focuses on the development of RF schematics, layout, and collaboration with vendors for DFM and manufacturing of research systems and devices. The position requires performing RF link budget analysis, lab-based debugging, and performance validation. This is an onsite position, primarily based in Redmond, WA, with a secondary possibility for Burlingame, CA for a suitable candidate.
- Develop RF schematics, layout, and work with vendors for DFM and manufacturing for research systems and devices.
- Perform RF link budget analysis and RF issue debugging in the lab.
- Perform simulation (RF circuit simulation and 3D EM Simulation), performance tuning/optimization, and validation of RF conducted performance.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and vendors to ensure RF performance is met at component, board, and system levels.
- Work with antenna and test engineers to ensure the quality of the overall system.
Education: A Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline is required.
Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in RF hardware design for consumer electronics is required.
Technical Skills:
- Experience with RF front-end and SoC schematic, layout capture, and board bring-up.
- Work experience with RF lab equipment for device characterization, debug, and component/system performance validation.
- Experience with RF circuit and EM simulation software.
- Must be an effective communicator and team player.
- A Master's degree or PhD in RF/Electromagnetics.
- 5+ years of industry experience.
- Experience in schematic capture and PCB layout using Cadence or Altium.
- Experience in WiFi/BT or Cellular RF module design, optimization, and validation.
