Job Title: Information Security Engineer
Location: Charlotte, NC – Hybrid (3 days onsite / 2 remote)
Contract Length: 18 months
Pay Rate: $53/hr - $57/hr

In this contingent resource assignment, you will consult on and participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Information Security Engineering. This role involves contributing to large-scale planning, reviewing and analyzing complex security challenges, and collaborating with internal teams to resolve issues while adhering to policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Design, develop, and execute enterprise-wide cybersecurity exercises to test organizational readiness and simulate incident response scenarios.
- Evaluate exercise results to identify gaps in cyber readiness and support cybersecurity incident response planning and coordination.
- Strengthen cyber resilience practices across various teams and work with stakeholders to improve response processes.
- Analyze exercise outcomes, risks, and vulnerabilities, and develop reports to communicate findings to leadership.
- Recommend actionable improvements to enhance the overall security posture.
- Partner with business units, technology teams, and external partners on cybersecurity initiatives.
- Contribute to large-scale cybersecurity planning and strategy initiatives.
- Develop and track metrics, KPIs, and performance indicators to measure effectiveness.
- 4+ years of Information Security experience, which may include work or consulting experience, training, military experience, or education.
- Demonstrated experience with exposure to incident response or cyber defense.
- Experience with cybersecurity exercises, incident response planning, or resilience programs.
- Developed communication skills with the ability to present risks, insights, and recommendations.
- Experience with SIEM tools and incident management systems.
- Experience designing or facilitating cybersecurity training or exercises.
- Familiarity with cyber resilience or business continuity programs.
- Knowledge of threat analysis, risk assessment, and security frameworks.
- Experience developing metrics, KPIs, and training curricula.
