.NET/ API Senior Software Engineer

Location: Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania (Remote)

 
Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and support scalable applications within a modern Microsoft technology stack. This role is primarily focused on .NET/C# API development, with opportunities to contribute to front-end development using React. The ideal candidate is a full-stack engineer with deep backend expertise, experience with SQL Server, and familiarity with modern development practices, including AI-assisted development tools and DevOps pipeline automation.

 
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs using .NET (C#, ASP.NET Core).
  • Develop scalable and secure backend services and integration solutions.
  • Contribute to front-end development using React and SPA frameworks.
  • Design and optimize SQL Server database queries and data access patterns.
  • Build and support CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps) for application builds, deployments, and releases across cloud and on-prem environments.
  • Manage and enhance build/release workflows, including automated testing and deployment processes.
  • Ensure application performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Utilize tools such as New Relic for monitoring and Veracode for code security.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and production support.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in software development.
  • Strong expertise in C# / .NET (ASP.NET Core, Web API), RESTful API development, and SQL Server (T-SQL, data modeling, performance tuning).
  • Experience with React or modern JavaScript frameworks.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) pipelines, including builds and releases.
  • Familiarity with source control (Git) and CI/CD practices.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Azure services and cloud-native development.
  • Experience supporting hybrid environments (cloud + on-prem deployments).
  • Familiarity with New Relic, Veracode, or similar tools.
  • Experience with event-driven or distributed systems.
  • Exposure to AI development tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT).
  • Experience in healthcare or enterprise SaaS environments.
