Location: Remote
A technical writer is sought to take focused ownership of the documentation for a developer toolkit. This role involves auditing and re-architecting the SDK section of the developer documentation, validating code samples, writing cookbooks for common use cases, and completing the automation pipeline for API references. The position requires partnership with the documentation team to improve existing content based on developer feedback and analytics.
- Audit and re-architect the information architecture of the SDK documentation into a coherent learning path.
- Validate every TypeScript and Python code sample against the released SDKs and help establish automated checks.
- Write end-to-end cookbooks for the most common SDK use cases, based on developer community questions.
- Complete the automated API reference generation pipeline for the TypeScript and Python SDKs.
- Expand the examples library in the public Python SDK repository.
- Restructure long reference pages into navigable, well-structured documents.
- Partner with the documentation team to prioritize improvements based on reader feedback and analytics.
- Experience writing developer-facing technical documentation, such as SDK references, API documentation, or tutorials.
- Ability to read, write, and debug both TypeScript and Python to author and validate working code samples.
- Experience with docs-as-code workflows, including Markdown or MDX, Git, and pull-request-based review.
- Information architecture skills to reorganize content into a navigable structure.
- Clear, plain-language writing ability.
- Experience documenting SDKs, agent frameworks, or AI/LLM developer tools.
- Experience setting up continuous integration to automatically test documentation code samples.
- Experience generating API references from type definitions, docstrings, or similar sources.
- Developer relations background, including writing cookbooks, sample applications, or tutorials, and engaging with developer communities.
- Familiarity with comparable agent development tooling.
- Restructure a large single-page API reference into focused, cross-linked pages.
- Establish a CI workflow that installs published SDK packages and runs documentation code samples on each pull request.
- Write a cookbook that guides a developer from an empty directory to a working agent with custom tools.
- Address frequent community questions by creating new documentation pages or cookbooks.
