Job Description:
Location: Jersey City, NJ / Addison TX/ Charlotte NC (Hybrid)
Duration: 12 months
Payrate: $65 -68/hr
We are seeking an Application Programmer with experience in Java-based application development. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining microservices architectures and contributing to high-availability, fault-tolerant data systems. The position requires a deep understanding of Java, Spring Boot, and related technologies to build and optimize robust applications.
- Design and implement microservices architectures using Java, Spring Boot, and J2EE technologies.
- Develop applications with a focus on multithreading, concurrency, and asynchronous programming.
- Manage JVM internals, including memory management, garbage collection, and performance tuning.
- Work with RESTful APIs, including knowledge of OpenAPI/Swagger and API versioning.
- Implement service discovery, configuration management, and resilience patterns such as circuit breakers.
- Contribute to the design and automation of CI/CD pipelines.
- Ensure the development of high-availability and fault-tolerant data architectures.
- Utilize containerization with Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in Java-based application development is required.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and J2EE technologies.
- Understanding of JVM internals, memory management, and performance tuning.
- Experience with multithreading, concurrency, and asynchronous programming.
- Knowledge of microservices design, RESTful APIs, OpenAPI/Swagger, and API versioning.
- Familiarity with service discovery, configuration management, and resilience patterns.
- Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline design and automation.
- Experience with Apache Kafka for messaging and streaming.
- Experience with Distributed CockroachDB.
- Previous work in financial services, trading, or other high-throughput systems.
