Job Description:

Location: Jersey City, NJ / Addison TX/ Charlotte NC (Hybrid)

Duration: 12 months

Payrate: $65 -68/hr

We are seeking an Application Programmer with experience in Java-based application development. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining microservices architectures and contributing to high-availability, fault-tolerant data systems. The position requires a deep understanding of Java, Spring Boot, and related technologies to build and optimize robust applications.

• Design and implement microservices architectures using Java, Spring Boot, and J2EE technologies.
• Develop applications with a focus on multithreading, concurrency, and asynchronous programming.
• Manage JVM internals, including memory management, garbage collection, and performance tuning.
• Work with RESTful APIs, including knowledge of OpenAPI/Swagger and API versioning.
• Implement service discovery, configuration management, and resilience patterns such as circuit breakers.
• Contribute to the design and automation of CI/CD pipelines.
• Ensure the development of high-availability and fault-tolerant data architectures.
• Utilize containerization with Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.

Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in Java-based application development is required.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and J2EE technologies.
• Understanding of JVM internals, memory management, and performance tuning.
• Experience with multithreading, concurrency, and asynchronous programming.
• Knowledge of microservices design, RESTful APIs, OpenAPI/Swagger, and API versioning.
• Familiarity with service discovery, configuration management, and resilience patterns.
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline design and automation.

• Experience with Apache Kafka for messaging and streaming.
• Experience with Distributed CockroachDB.
• Previous work in financial services, trading, or other high-throughput systems.
