Job Title: Software Engineer 3 / Lead Digital Assets Software Engineer (Full Stack / APIs)

Location: Charlotte, NC – Hybrid (3 days onsite)

Contract Length: 6 months (potential extension)

Pay Rate: $53 - $57

Start Date: ASAP

Top Requirements:
  1. 5+ years of Java development experience with strong API/microservices background
  2. Experience building RESTful services using Spring Boot
  3. Experience with Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and GitHub-based workflows
Plusses:
  1. Experience in digital assets, trading systems, or market data environments
  2. Experience with AI developer tools (GitHub Copilot, agents, etc.)
  3. Experience with cloud-native architectures (Kubernetes-based platforms)
  4. Experience with application security and tools like SonarQube
  5. Experience working in Agile, fast-paced environments
Job Summary:

In this contingent resource assignment, you may: Consult on or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Software Engineering and contribute to large-scale planning related to Software Engineering deliverables. Review and analyze moderately complex Software Engineering challenges requiring in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Contribute to the resolution of moderately complex issues while leveraging solid understanding of policies, procedures, and compliance requirements. Collaborate with client personnel in Software Engineering.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Software Development & Engineering
  • Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices using Java and Spring Boot
  • Build scalable applications supporting digital assets and trading platforms
  • Participate in full SDLC including coding, testing, debugging, and deployment
Architecture & Modernization
  • Contribute to cloud-native and Kubernetes-based application design
  • Support digital transformation initiatives including eCurrency and tokenized platforms
  • Apply software architecture best practices and design patterns
DevOps & Tooling
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub workflows
  • Use modern development tools (Visual Studio Code, etc.)
  • Support production readiness, monitoring, and reliability
AI & Innovation
  • Utilize AI-driven development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) to improve productivity
  • Contribute to AI-enabled engineering practices across the team
Collaboration & Agile Delivery
  • Work in Agile scrum teams within a fast-paced WIMT environment
  • Collaborate with product, business, and engineering stakeholders
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure high-quality deliverables
Risk & Security
  • Ensure compliance with enterprise security and SDLC standards
  • Support application security practices and vulnerability remediation
  • Maintain documentation and adhere to governance requirements
