Location: Plano, TX/Charlotte, NC (Onsite)

Employment Type: Contract

Contract Duration: 12 Months


Role Overview

This position is for a Workday Configuration Analyst who will provide HR system administration. The role involves business process configuration, reporting development, end-user training, and data management. This position partners with Workday team members, IT, business partners, and vendors to meet the organization's HR technology needs. The primary focus modules include Core HCM, Compensation, Talent, Payroll, Time, Absence, and Benefits.

 

Key Responsibilities
  • Configure and troubleshoot complex Workday business processes, with a focus on Payroll, Time, and Absence.
  • Perform administrative functions, including tenant configuration, data loads, integrations, and reporting.
  • Review business procedures and workflows to ensure system features are fully utilized and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
  • Work within a controlled systems environment by defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards.
  • Provide pre- and post-launch end-user support, change management, issue resolution, testing, and training.
  • Mass load information via EIBs and test integration inputs and outputs.
  • Create reports to audit the effectiveness of configuration changes.
  • Document technology specifications for current and future configuration.
  • Maintain accurate change management documentation to satisfy internal and external audit controls.
  • Support feature releases and issue resolution, assisting in defining scope, prioritizing, and planning system changes.
Required Qualifications
  • Experience configuring complex Workday business processes.
  • Ability to perform Workday administrative functions including tenant configuration, data loads, and reporting.
  • Knowledge of creating reports and using them for auditing purposes.
  • Understanding of Workday's Implementation Methodology.
  • Functional knowledge of HR and HR systems across multiple functions.
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows and MS Windows Server environments.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field.
  • 3+ years of Workday HCM experience.
  • Workday Pro or Workday Certifications are strongly preferred.
  • A solid understanding in at least three Workday modules including Core HCM, Compensation, Talent, Payroll, Time, Absence, and Benefits.
  • Workday Integrations experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Workday business process, core setup, and security framework.
  • Deep understanding of the Workday data model, corporate system architecture, and interfaces.
