Location: Beaverton, Oregon (On-site)
We are seeking a Lead Designer for a project-based role focused on supporting seasonal direction and driving new color theories in basketball apparel. This individual will contribute to the footwear expression team, which has high visibility within the organization. The position requires a creative and versatile professional who can translate consumer insights into compelling design stories under tight deadlines.
- Support seasonal direction work for basketball footwear and apparel.
- Drive the development of compelling new color theories.
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team of approximately 10 members.
- Translate consumer insights into tangible design concepts and stories.
- Create and prepare presentations for internal audiences.
- Manage project timelines and deliverables effectively.
- Utilize a range of design software to produce high-quality work.
Experience: A minimum of 3-5+ years of experience in a similar color design role is required.
Technical Skills: Expertise in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop is necessary. Proficiency with Miro, CLO 3D, and Vizcom is also required. A strong foundational knowledge of textiles is essential.
- Strong presentation skills with experience presenting to both internal and external audiences.
- Experience in both footwear and apparel design.
- A demonstrated passion for sports and an ability to tell stories through design.
- Excellent ability to prioritize tasks and excel under demanding deadlines.
This role is based at the client's world headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon. The position operates on a 4/1 hybrid model, requiring four days on-site. The successful candidate will work closely with a direct team of approximately 10 individuals and engage in significant cross-functional collaboration.
