I. Job Summary 

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Business Analyst to join the Data and Optimization team. The ideal candidate will support strategic data management, data governance, and data mapping initiatives while maximizing data usability and accessibility across the organization. This role will leverage AI‑driven automation and advanced analytics to validate, cleanse, and enrich data, ensuring it is accurate, complete, consistent, and trusted. The Business Analyst will also play a key role in advancing data literacy and enabling scalable, intelligent data practices that drive better business outcomes. The Business Analyst must be highly self-motivated, demonstrating the ability to proactively take initiative and drive projects forward with minimal supervision. This role requires an individual who can consistently maintain focus, prioritize tasks, and deliver results independently while contributing to team goals.

 

II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.   

 

·      Lead the deployment of new reports, automation solutions, and Data Center processes, ensuring a smooth transition from development to enterprise deployment. Coordinate release readiness, including validation, documentation, and stakeholder sign-off.

·      Drive user enablement by delivering targeted training sessions, creating clear job aids, and providing ongoing support to ensure successful adoption.

·      Equip users with the knowledge and tools needed to effectively leverage new capabilities, while reinforcing standardized Data Center processes that improve efficiency, data quality, and scalability across the organization.

·      Assist in the development and implementation of data management strategies, including the use of AI and automation to validate, cleanse, and monitor data quality and integrity at scale.

·      Support data governance initiatives to maintain data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

·      Perform data mapping to ensure seamless integration and interoperability of data across various systems.

·      Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to democratize data, enabling self‑service, AI‑assisted access to high‑quality data for decision‑making.

·      Conduct data analysis and proofs‑of‑concept (POCs), including AI‑enabled validation and pattern detection, to identify trends, anomalies, and insights that inform business strategies.

·      Develop and maintain data documentation, including data dictionaries/catalog, metadata, and data lineage. This will also include artifacts for user support like Job Aids, Training videos, etc.

·      Provide training and support to team members on data-related tools and best practices.

·      Utilize data to uncover opportunities and spark new ideas during the ideation phase.

·      Assist in defining, project objectives, success criteria, and key performance indicators (KPIs)

IV. Qualifications 

 

A. Education and Experience 

 

·      Bachelor’s degree in data science, computer science, information systems, or a related field.

·      Proven experience in data analysis, data management, and data governance.

·      Experience with data catalog tools and metadata management.

·      Proficient with Snowflake, Atlan & MS Fabric (Preferred)

·      Strong knowledge of data mapping techniques and tools.

·      Proficiency in data visualization tools (Power BI) and SQL, in addition to MS Office.

·      Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

·      Strong communication and collaboration skills.

·      Knowledge of data privacy regulations and compliance standards.

C. Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required 

 

·      Strategic Data Management: Strategic approach to data management, including defining rules for identifying "outdated" or "duplicate" data and leveraging tools to enforce these rules

·      Automation Tools: Experience with automation tools and technologies to streamline data hygiene processes, such as automated data validation and cleanup

·      Data Management and Governance: Understanding of data governance principles and the ability to implement data management frameworks to ensure data quality and compliance

·      Process Mapping and Data Mapping: Research and collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and document current data flow processes that drive operational outcomes, as well as ideate and deploy future-facing outcomes. 

·      Optimization Recommendations: Based on Data Collection and Analysis results, develop recommendations for optimizing data flow to improve efficiency, reduce waste, drive data maturity across a value chain, and enhance overall performance. 

·      Collaborative Implementation: Work closely with stakeholders from different departments to implement recommended process improvements. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth implementation and monitor performance post-implementation. 

·      SQL and Relational Databases: Ability to extract and manipulate data using SQL. Knowledge of joins, aggregations, macros and functions is essential. 

·      Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy. 

·      Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex information in an accessible manner. Must have keen audience awareness to be brief for executive audiences and communicate meaningfully where non-technical parties need visibility.
