Senior Data Analyst (Capital Management Technology)

Location: Jersey City, NJ/Charlotte, NC/Plano, TX (Onsite)

Employment Type: Contract

Contract Duration: 12 Months


Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst for our Enterprise Capital Management Technology (ECMT) team, which supports the Capital Management function within Corporate Treasury. This role is part of a greenfield project to build and adopt general capabilities for Data Ingestion, Rules Authoring Execution, and Analytics. The new platform will replace legacy applications and house critical regulatory programs, such as Basel IV and FRTB.

 

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve in a delivery-focused, techno-functional capacity to support the technology transformation journey.
  • Design and implement solutions for data ingestion, rules execution, and analytics.
  • Develop and maintain SQL programs, preferably with databases like Oracle Exadata.
  • Contribute to programming tasks using Python, Java, or .NET.
  • Engage in a meticulous design process to replace multiple legacy applications within Treasury Technology.
  • Ensure solutions align with requirements for critical regulatory programs.
  • Identify risks and issues and suggest improvements to enhance project delivery.
Required Qualifications

Education: A Bachelor of Science or Master of Science degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a quantitative discipline is required. An MBA is an advantage.

 

Experience: A minimum of 10 years of professional experience is required, with at least 3 years specifically as a data analyst.

 

Technical Skills:

  • Good knowledge of SQL programming.
  • Programming experience with Python or Java/.Net.
  • A deep understanding of Capital Markets, with a focus on Credit Risk, Market Risk, or Capital calculations.
  • Understanding of regulations within the Capital Markets space, such as Basel, CRR, and CRD IV.
  • Programming experience with Hadoop is an advantage.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Big Data Architectures and Cloud computing.
  • Familiarity with machine-learning techniques, classifiers, and statistical methods.
