Job Description:
Location:4 times a week onsite in Northwestern, Arkansas
Our organization is seeking multiple Data Engineers to support a large-scale demand forecasting and Machine Learning Operations (ML Ops) initiative. In this role, you will contribute to building and maintaining numerous data pipelines that create features, train models, and consume model outputs. This position involves collaboration with AI Developers and integrations with upstream and downstream supply chain and replenishment systems, encompassing data pipeline development, backend software engineering, and quality assurance.
- * Contribute to backend software engineering and DevOps tasks related to the data platform.
- Design and build scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines using Apache Airflow, Apache Spark, and GCP Dataflow.
- Develop and maintain data models, schemas, and performance-optimized SQL queries in BigQuery.
- Build and manage data pipelines that feed AI/ML feature stores and forecasting models.
- Collaborate with AI Developers to ensure high-quality, low-latency data access for model training.
- Manage and optimize Cloud Composer Directed Acyclic Graphs (DAGs) and pipeline orchestration.
- Implement data quality monitoring, alerting, and data lineage tracking solutions.
- Participate in data platform architecture discussions and contribute to documentation.
Experience:
- 3+ years of experience for intermediate-level roles.
- 5+ years of experience for specialist-level roles.
Technical Skills:
- Hands-on experience with Apache Airflow for pipeline orchestration.
- Proficiency in Apache Spark for large-scale data processing.
- Strong SQL skills, including complex query optimization and BigQuery-specific capabilities.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) data services such as BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, and Dataflow.
- A solid understanding of ETL/ELT patterns and data warehousing principles.
- GCP Professional Data Engineer certification.
- Experience supporting ML/AI data infrastructure, including feature engineering and managing training datasets.
- Familiarity with real-time data streaming technologies like Kafka or Flink.
- Experience with retail or other large-scale consumer data environments.
