Project/Program Manager - Project/Program Manager V

Location: Manassas, Virginia (Onsite)

Compensation: $77 - $88 hourly

 

Role Overview

The Critical Projects Implementation (CPI) team seeks a Project/Program Manager to support construction and critical infrastructure improvement projects within operational data centers. This role involves managing on-site activities, ensuring projects that optimize space, power, and cooling are executed efficiently. The position requires adaptability to evolving demands and priorities in a dynamic environment.

 

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee on-site construction activities to ensure adherence to safety and policy standards on behalf of the CPI Project Manager.
  • Create and ensure vendor compliance with Method of Procedures (MOP).
  • Maintain communication with the CPI PM, escalating procedural deviations and safety incidents.
  • Coordinate project schedules and document weekly status updates.
  • Conduct morning briefings to review daily work and applicable safety protocols.
  • Coordinate and receive project-related deliveries.
  • Work both independently and as part of multi-disciplinary teams to deliver results.
Required Qualifications
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in on-site construction trades such as mechanical or electrical.
  • 5+ years of experience in on-site construction trade vendor management.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting Data Center projects.
  • Knowledge of Data Center Electrical and Mechanical systems.
  • NFPA70E Certification.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple competing priorities.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical and non-technical problems.
  • Ability to understand building systems and construction drawings.
  • Ability to identify project risks and impacts and propose effective mitigations.
  • Ability to move and stand for up to 8 hours, and wear Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience leading retrofit projects in a data center environment.
  • An undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
  • Program Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
  • OSHA-30 Certification.
