LOB: Tech commercial banking supporting tech projects (OBB = Online Business Banking)

HM Gopi is portfolio delivery manager (OBB)

Project: This role is a backfill position, taking over an existing project from a tech PM whose contract is coming to end.

Likely monthly deliverables

Very fast paced, multiple implementations

Sprints, quick delivery

Projects could come from direct LOB or other bank areas

Project info: Online banking for Business (OLBB) is critical enterprise platform with multiple projects. Tech PM will drive project delivery collaborating closely with cross functional teams.

Must haves:

8+ Years of experience in project management

Agile exp needed but BMO operates under a Agile/Waterfall hybrid model

Technology PM needed (NOT a scrum master)

Need to be comfortable working with other teams at bank (4-5 dif tech teams who will deliver components of overall project) and dif moving parts

Communication is key

Understanding nuance

Anticipate escalations

Tech skills important but come second to ability to problem solve and think quickly, has reliable instinct and can sus out problems before they happen, able to work cross functionally

The North American and Commercial Banking (NACB) Technology PMO team is looking for a Sr Project Manager to support technology projects.

• Project Manager - has end to end accountability for the successful completion of the project. Directs and coordinates team members in creation of project deliverables.

• Core: Possesses an understanding of a least 1 line of business, and directs business and technology resources, user groups, internal and external consultants, and contractors and vendors. Has end to end

accountability for the successful completion of the project and works with Communications stakeholders to drive change, and communications planning.

• Project Management: Rigorously manages project scope to ensure commitments are achieved within agreed on time, cost, and quality parameters, with an enterprise perspective.

• Quality of Deliverables: Ensures end results are of the highest caliber with a clearly articulated scope and quantifiable business benefit, and oversees governance controls to ensure that projects meet all the

performance, quality and compliance standards and conforms to appropriate methodology.

• Education: Computer Science (nice to have), Information Systems (nice to have), Project Management (a must), and a valid PMP designation from the Project Management Institute (must have).
