Job Description:
Location: Camas, Washington (Onsite)
In this role, you will support Charles River–driven workflows across Portfolio Engineering, Optimization, Guidelines, Implementation, Trading, and Trade Operations. You will collaborate with Portfolio Managers, Traders, and Technology teams to implement CRD enhancements, API integrations, portfolio optimization workflows, and automation solutions. This position reports to an AVP.
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of CRD enhancements, including requirements, design, configuration, integrations, testing, and deployment.
- Configure Manager Work Bench or Central Work Bench layouts, workflows, rules, and result sets.
- Perform hands-on work with the Charles River API Framework, including both frontend and backend APIs.
- Build and support integration workflows utilizing REST APIs, services, and messaging frameworks.
- Apply knowledge of portfolio optimization concepts such as risk models, constraints, and transaction cost analysis.
- Collaborate with Portfolio Engineering teams to support optimization workflows that feed into CRD.
- Ensure start-of-day readiness and support ongoing system stability for CRD.
- Translate requirements into detailed functional and technical specifications, user stories, and interface documentation.
Education: A bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or an equivalent field is required.
Experience:
- 10+ years in Application Development.
- 5+ years of experience in Python programming.
- 5+ years of experience in the Investment or Wealth Management industry.
- 3+ years of experience in CRD or another Order Management System (OMS) implementation and customization, including Workbench configuration.
- Experience with OMS Batch Automation, including monitoring and exception handling.
- Hands-on experience with the OMS API Framework (frontend and backend).
- Experience with Order Management workflows, markets, and trading processes for Equities and Fixed Income.
- Experience using Agile SDLC, process diagramming, and workflow mapping.
Technical Skills:
- Advanced SQL, including complex queries and performance tuning.
- Proficiency in Java or C# to interpret, collaborate on, and support integrations.
- REST API integration, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with portfolio optimization concepts like risk factors, constraints, and optimization models.
- Experience with optimization tools such as Axioma and OMEGA Point.
