Financial QA Lead

Job Description:
Location: Orlando, Florida (Remote)
We are seeking an experienced QA Lead to drive quality assurance activities for financial applications and enterprise business systems. This role is responsible for leading end-to-end testing efforts, defining test strategy, and coordinating QA execution. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of financial application workflows, with preferred experience in Workday or similar ERP platforms, and the ability to guide junior and offshore team members.
- Lead QA planning, test strategy, test execution, defect management, and release readiness for financial applications.
- Review business requirements and user stories to identify testing scope, risks, and acceptance criteria.
- Design, review, and maintain comprehensive test scenarios for functional, integration, and regression testing.
- Prioritize test cases for automation and guide the team in building reusable, maintainable automated test suites.
- Coordinate with business stakeholders, product owners, developers, and project managers.
- Lead defect triage discussions, track resolution progress, and validate fixes.
- Support test data planning and environment readiness across multiple systems.
- Provide QA status reporting, metrics, and recommendations to project leadership.
- Mentor QA analysts and testers by providing technical guidance and feedback.
- 10+ years of experience in a technical software quality assurance role, including experience as a QA Lead or similar leadership position.
- Hands-on experience with API testing for system integration.
- Experience planning or supporting non-functional testing activities.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, test planning, and the defect lifecycle.
- Experience testing financial applications and workflows, such as accounting, procurement, or reporting.
- Ability to work with minimal information to develop test plans and strategies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience with financial applications, particularly Workday Financials or Workday Adaptive Planning.
- Experience with AI-based tools to automate and design test strategies.
- Knowledge of scripting or programming languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, or Python.
- Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, or k6.
- Experience with test management tools like Jira, Zephyr, or TestRail.
