Location: Charlotte, North Carolina (Hybrid)

Employment Type: Contract

Contract Duration: 12 Months


Role Overview

This role involves serving as a Scrum Master for two cross-functional Agile teams. The position requires facilitating all Scrum ceremonies, coaching team members, and removing impediments to ensure adherence to Scrum principles and practices. This position has a hybrid schedule requirement of a minimum of three days per week onsite.

 

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as Scrum Master for two cross-functional Agile teams, ensuring adherence to Scrum principles and practices.
  • Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies: Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
  • Act as a coach and mentor to team members, Product Owners, and stakeholders to promote Agile best practices.
  • Identify and remove impediments to team progress, escalating as necessary.
  • Track and report team metrics such as velocity and burndown to drive transparency and improvement.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
  • Coordinate dependencies and align delivery across both teams.
  • Support Product Owners in backlog refinement and prioritization.
  • Promote Agile maturity and innovation across the organization.
Required Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Scrum Master for multiple Agile teams.
  • Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).
  • Excellent facilitation, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Experience with Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience working with distributed or hybrid teams.
  • Understanding of Agile metrics and reporting tools.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Exposure to Agile transformation initiatives.
  • Certifications such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), or PMI-ACP.
  • Background in software development or technical project management.
  • Knowledge of Lean principles, Design Thinking, or Scaled Agile frameworks.
  • Experience in change management or organizational development.
  • Experience with CICD build and deployment tools.
