Job Title: Epic Learning Facilitator

Location: Remote (Eastern Time Zone Hours)

Overview

The Learning Facilitator is responsible for delivering engaging and effective Epic application training to clinical and non clinical end users. This role partners closely with Principal Trainers to ensure learners are prepared to successfully navigate workflows, documentation, and system functionality within Apex Systems’ Healthcare Client environment. The position supports both classroom instruction and go live activities, while also contributing to ongoing curriculum improvement and training environment readiness.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver instructor led training sessions in both virtual and in person settings for clinicians, physicians, and non clinical staff

• Facilitate daily training sessions, typically one session per day with five hour duration

• Apply adult learning principles to drive engagement and knowledge retention

• Respond to learner questions and provide timely follow up support

• Prepare training environments, materials, and class rosters in advance of sessions

• Administer and track end user competency assessments to ensure readiness for system use

• Gather feedback and partner with Principal Trainers to improve curriculum, job aids, and training materials

• Provide at the elbow support during go live events to assist end users in real time

• Develop job aids and supplemental materials to support adoption

• Support testing of training environments and lesson plans to ensure alignment with current system builds and workflows

• Provide status updates and escalate issues as needed

Required Qualifications

• Ability to obtain Credentialed Trainer status within six weeks of assignment, including completion of training, teach backs, and certification exams with a minimum passing score of 85 percent

• Five years of experience in learning facilitation, training, or a related field

• Strong presentation and communication skills

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple teams

• Adaptability to evolving training content and delivery methods

• Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on responsiveness and user support

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and virtual collaboration tools such as Zoom

• Interest in technology adoption and ability to champion system usage

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher, or equivalent experience

• Experience in adult education, instructional design, or learning management systems such as Cornerstone

• Experience in training, facilitation, or coaching roles

• Healthcare or clinical environment experience

• Knowledge of change management principles

• Prior Epic Credentialed Trainer experience or Epic implementation experience
