Job Description:
Location: Naperville, Illinois (Onsite)
This position will act as the first line of contact for troubleshooting proprietary technology and field equipment. The role involves providing live phone support to field representatives on standard equipment and e-catalog products, referencing specifications, product literature, and pricing. You will also communicate with customers regarding pricing, warranty, and equipment parts.
- Act as the first line of contact for troubleshooting problems with proprietary technology and field equipment.
- Provide live phone support to field representatives on standard equipment and e-catalog products.
- Communicate with customers regarding pricing, warranty, and equipment parts utilizing SAP.
- Track phone calls and email support tickets using a ticket tracking system like ServiceNow.
- Provide technical guidance to product marketers, R&D, and commercialization teams.
- Support team vision, goals, and metrics.
- Collaborate with the Level 2 team on escalated issues.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: 1-2 years of technical experience and 2-5 years of customer service or contact center experience.
Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of PLCs and electrical components.
Soft Skills: Communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Bachelor’s degree or comparable technical experience.
- Ability to analyze and decipher data in a spreadsheet in a logical manner.
- Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite and SAP.
- A clear understanding of industrial electrical and mechanical systems.
- Ability to manage multiple projects.
- Ability to work well in high-pressure situations with a positive resolution.
The work schedule is Monday-Friday. This position is located in Naperville, IL. The dress code is business casual.
This position has the potential to become permanent based on projected department growth. An extension may also be available due to growth and the acquisition of new technology.
