Job Description:
Location: Plano, TX / San Antonio, TX / Phoenix, AZ / Charlotte, NC (Onsite 4 days/week)
We are seeking a P&C Domain Solution Architect with a focus on resiliency, availability, and full-stack architecture. This senior role requires an individual with leadership experience or a strong desire to grow into a leadership position, who can operate both strategically and in a hands-on technical capacity. The selected individual will support the broader Property & Casualty domain by leading resiliency reviews and helping to harden modernized policy and claims systems.
- Lead full-stack resiliency and availability reviews across applications, data, and infrastructure.
- Develop and enforce repeatable, resilient reference architectures.
- Review, execute, and enforce the Permit to Build (PTB) process, with a focus on resiliency and availability components.
- Ensure all P&C Policy blueprints align with industry architecture standards.
- Identify opportunities for automation and AI-driven improvements.
- Mentor and guide developers and engineers on architecture best practices.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure end-to-end solution alignment.
The ideal candidate must possess strong verbal and written communication skills and a leadership presence to influence and guide teams.
Experience:
- 3-5+ years of experience with AWS public cloud.
- Deep domain expertise in Property & Casualty (P&C).
- Experience with highly distributed architecture and resiliency.
- Background in applications engineering, ideally with Java development experience.
- Experience designing for high availability, resiliency, and system hardening.
- Proven ability to balance architecture leadership with hands-on technical depth.
Technical Skills:
- An Associate level certification in Guidewire or experience with Guidewire Insurance Suite is preferred, including an understanding of its domain model and policies.
- Proficiency in designing scalable, resilient, cloud-native architectures on AWS.
- Experience with OpenShift to support containerized microservices and resiliency patterns.
