Location: Columbus, OH (Hybrid)
Duration: 6-Month Contract with Potential for Conversion
Schedule: Primarily Remote; Must reside in the Columbus area and be available to work onsite as needed. No set onsite schedule.
Pay:
Our healthcare client is seeking an experienced Product Owner to lead the vision, strategy, and execution of key technology products and initiatives. This individual will serve as the voice of the customer, partnering closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and leadership to deliver solutions that drive business value and improve customer experiences.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Agile product delivery, stakeholder management, and healthcare environments, with the ability to balance strategic product direction and day-to-day execution.
- Define and maintain the product vision and roadmap aligned with organizational goals.
- Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, customers, and development teams.
- Communicate product priorities, timelines, and delivery expectations.
- Drive adoption, engagement, and business value realization for product initiatives.
- Ensure alignment between product strategy and organizational objectives.
- Lead product discussions throughout planning, refinement, sprint reviews, and ongoing product evolution.
- Gather, document, and prioritize business and technical requirements through epics, features, and user stories.
- Manage and prioritize the product backlog to maximize business value.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, refinement sessions, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Collaborate with development teams to establish acceptance criteria, definitions of done, and quality standards.
- Facilitate resolution of risks, dependencies, and obstacles impacting delivery.
- Analyze user feedback, operational metrics, and stakeholder input to drive continuous product improvement.
- Partner with Project Managers, Scrum Masters, and Technology Leads to ensure successful delivery within a hybrid Agile environment.
- Support governance related to product strategy, data, cybersecurity, policies, and usage.
- Manage product funding and resource allocation across the product lifecycle.
- Lead large-scale, cross-functional initiatives critical to the business.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 7+ years of IT experience.
- 7+ years of experience in Product Ownership, Product Management, Business Analysis, or a related role.
- 5+ years of Agile experience within a Scrum or SAFe environment.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Experience creating and managing product backlogs, roadmaps, and user stories.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and software development lifecycles.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional technical and business teams.
- Strong project management capabilities.
- Experience using Agile planning tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Healthcare industry experience strongly preferred.
- Product Owner certifications such as:
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)
- SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM)
- Experience with Design Thinking methodologies.
- Experience managing enterprise-level digital products or platforms.
- Understanding of data governance, cybersecurity, and compliance requirements.
- Strategic thinker who can align product objectives with business goals.
- Strong communicator capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels.
- Customer-focused mindset with experience driving product adoption and value realization.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced Agile environments.
- Proven ability to lead complex initiatives involving multiple teams and stakeholders.

Location Requirement: Candidates must live within the Columbus, Ohio area and be available for onsite meetings and collaboration as business needs dictate.
