Job Description:

Location: Toronto, Ontario (Onsite)

Compensation: $56 - $66 hourly

A global organization is seeking a Preconstruction Manager to serve as the owner's representative during the preconstruction phase of facility delivery. In this role, you will independently manage complex, cross-functional industrial preconstruction projects from site selection through design management, permitting, and contract execution. This position requires partnering with internal teams and external stakeholders to establish scope, budget, and schedule for new builds, retrofits, and expansions.

• Independently manage cross-functional industrial pre-construction projects from site selection through design completion, permitting, and contract execution.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to secure resources, scope infrastructure builds, set priorities, and drive delivery.
• Lead site selection, scope development, and design management, ensuring compliance with design standards.
• Manage multiple concurrent large industrial projects across various locations.
• Perform conceptual estimating, pricing reviews, and negotiate costs with developers and contractors.
• Own comprehensive budget tracking, schedule management, and cashflow forecasting.
• Manage vendor procurement and oversee professional service providers.
• Coordinate with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) for permitting, regulatory compliance, and approvals.
• Review and analyze design and construction contracts, lease agreements, and technical reports.
• Prepare and present project status and risk reports to leadership.

Technical Skills: Experience with Excel.

This role requires up to 60% regional travel and availability to work from a corporate office when not traveling. Candidates should either live near or be willing to relocate within a reasonable commuting distance of the office. Relocation assistance may be provided.
