Job Description:
Location: Pensacola, FL or Vienna, VA (Hybrid)
This position is responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and reporting on quality, service, and controls to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness. The role involves mitigating risk and remediating operational and regulatory vulnerabilities by conducting quality control reviews to ensure compliance with federal and state requirements, industry standards, and internal operating procedures.
- Evaluate decisions, process adherence, and regulatory requirements for compliance with applicable state and federal laws and established guidelines.
- Evaluate and monitor the quality of documentation for completeness, accuracy, and adherence to internal standards to identify issues and reduce potential risk.
- Perform and validate in-depth gap analyses to determine the root cause of process gaps and regulatory compliance failures.
- Conduct quality reviews and audits of documentation, files, and transactions to ensure compliance with internal policies and government regulations.
- Develop solutions for identified quality issues and maintain communication with business partners to establish remediation dates.
- Ensure quality through data integrity and risk management.
- Stay informed of changes in the industry, federal regulations, and state laws to understand their impact on processes.
- Recognize potential misrepresentation and identify appropriate reporting channels.
- Monitor corrective actions to ensure prompt and effective remediation.
- Research escalated issues and collaborate on resolutions.
- Gather, analyze, and synthesize data for presentations and reports.
- Maintain clear and organized documentation related to quality and noted deficiencies.
Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Auditing, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of training, education, and experience is required.
Experience: Experience is required in identifying relevant analytical problems, determining diagnostic methods, and solving complex issues. The role requires experience managing multiple priorities independently or within a team. Basic knowledge of the credit union, lending, or banking industry is necessary.
Skills: Candidates must possess effective research, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Advanced proficiency with word processing, presentation software, and spreadsheets is required, along with strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines. Effective skills in communication, customer service, and relationship management are also necessary.
This is a hybrid position with the expectation to report onsite a minimum of three days per week. The standard shift is from 8:00am to 4:30pm. Overtime will not be available for this assignment.
