Job Description:

Senior Developer Tools Engineer (DevOps/Platform Engineer)

Location: Spring, Texas (Onsite)

The Developer Tools Engineer will leverage software development and platform engineering techniques to enhance and support strategic developer platforms and develop data analytics solutions for these platforms. This role reports to the delivery team Product Owner and delivers strategic work for advancing software development and DevOps capabilities. This position involves consulting with the developer community, designing integrations, and partnering with Cyber Security to enhance application security.

• Create and disseminate source code and artifact management best practices to the developer community.
• Consult and mentor the developer community on source code, CI/CD, and artifact management practices.
• Design and develop integrations and automations for strategic developer platforms.
• Leverage scripting and platform APIs to develop analytics and visualizations for organizational DevOps adoption and performance.
• Partner with Cyber Security to enhance Application Security posture for the organization.
• Develop forms, templates, and re-usable components to speed up developer onboarding and platform adoption.
• Evaluate current processes around platform management and provide recommendations and solutions on optimizing existing processes.
• Provide expert level platform support to the developer community.
• Develop, maintain, distribute, and provide training on strategic platforms.
• Stay updated on advancements in software development and platform engineering.

Education: A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related IT discipline is required.

Experience: This role requires 5+ years of experience in a technical role.

Technical Skills:

• Advanced level of software development, scripting, and/or CI/CD skills.
• Proficient working with relational databases and generating complex data visualizations.
• Advanced skills with Enterprise implementations of source code management and CI/CD solutions (e.g., GitHub Enterprise, Azure DevOps, GitLab Enterprise).
• Experience working with Azure and AWS.
• Experience working with infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, Bicep, ARM, CloudFormation).
• Advanced skills working with package and artifact management solutions (e.g., jFrog, Sonatype Nexus).
• Top required technologies include GitHub Enterprise, jFrog, and Power BI & Data Analytics.
