We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President / Senior Backend Engineer to join our Team.



In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

You will help design, build, and enhance resilient backend platforms that support payment infrastructure, digital asset connectivity, and scalable financial services capabilities.

   Design and develop backend systems using Go (Golang) and modern engineering practices to support scalable, secure, and high-performing financial platforms.

   Build and enhance microservices-based applications and APIs using REST and gRPC patterns to support internal and external integration needs.

   Contribute to payment infrastructure solutions, including gateway services and integrations with payment providers and digital transaction flows.

   Support blockchain gateway and digital asset enablement capabilities, including deposit token solutions, interbank payment flows, and related platform integrations.

   Develop cloud-native services using containerisation technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.

   Improve engineering quality through testing, CI/CD pipelines, observability, and operational monitoring.

   Apply clean architecture principles to create maintainable, testable, and resilient software solutions.

   Partner with product, engineering, architecture, and operations teams to deliver reliable and scalable backend services.

   Support high-availability platform design and performance optimisation for critical financial systems.

   Contribute to continuous improvement across development workflows, deployment practices, and production support.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

EDUCATION

   Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

   Additional technical training or certifications in cloud, systems administration, or software engineering are a plus.

EXPERIENCE

   Strong experience in backend software engineering with hands-on delivery in modern programming languages, including Go (Golang).

   Experience designing and building microservices architectures and API-driven platforms.

   Experience with REST and gRPC service development.

   Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.

   Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and software delivery best practices.

   Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases.

   Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and GCP.

   Familiarity with monitoring, observability, scalability, performance tuning, and high-availability systems.

   Experience supporting payment infrastructure, payment gateway integrations, or transaction-processing platforms.

   Exposure to blockchain or digital asset infrastructure, including gateway or interbank payment solutions, is a plus.

   Experience working in financial systems or regulated technology environments is preferred.
