Apex Systems is a global IT services provider, and our staffing practice has an opening for an HR Operations Advisor supporting a multinational technology corporation.
Client: Multinational technology corporation.
Terms: 11‑month contract with potential extension (up to 18 months)
Location: Hybrid in Vancouver, BC (3 days per week in the downtown office)

Job Description
The HR Operations Advisor supports HR processes across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, reporting, compliance, and administrative program delivery. The role partners with HR Generalists and cross‑functional teams (immigration, legal, consulting, onboarding) to ensure smooth execution of HR operations at scale.
This position also supports a rotational program for international university hires based in Canada, overseeing onboarding tasks, operational reporting, and coordination across HR cycles. Strong organization, data accuracy, and comfort working within established HR infrastructure are essential.
Responsibilities
· Partner with HR Generalists and leadership to support HR operations and employee experience.
· Manage HR inboxes, triage inquiries, and direct employees to the correct resources.
· Execute HR processes with minimal supervision.
· Enter, validate, and analyze data in Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables) and build slide‑based reporting.
· Use AI tools to summarize data and accelerate reporting.
· Support HR programs through clear communication, documentation, and regular reporting.
· Perform administrative tasks including document preparation, data entry, and invoice processing.
Education & Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
· 1–2 years of experience in HR operations, administration, or business support (internships/co‑ops count).
Qualifications
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Proactive, self‑driven approach with consistent on‑time delivery.
· Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
· Understanding of HR programs, policies, and procedures.
· Sound judgment and discretion with sensitive information.
· Proficiency with Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables), HR systems, and Microsoft Office.
· Comfort using AI tools for reporting and analysis.

Typical Day
· Support data management for HR programs (onboarding, policy rollouts, Canada‑wide initiatives).
· Manage monthly HR reporting and analytics for compliance and decision‑making.
· Handle immigration‑related inquiries and route them appropriately.
· Oversee HR program budgets and maintain distribution lists.
· Coordinate HR program cycles and maintain HR systems and documentation.
· Work closely with HR Generalists, leadership teams, and program committees.
Interview Process
· One round with sponsor and FTEs.
