Role Overview

A skilled Reporting Tools Administrator is sought to manage and support enterprise reporting platforms, including SAP BusinessObjects (BOBJ), Power BI, and Tableau. The ideal candidate will ensure connectivity, performance, and security of reporting tools that interface with multiple data sources such as Snowflake, Oracle, and SQL Server. Expertise in Azure Cloud services and strong communication skills are essential for this role.

 
Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and maintain reporting platforms including SAP BusinessObjects (BOBJ), Power BI, and Tableau.
  • Configure and optimize data connections to Snowflake, Oracle, and SQL Server databases, including cloud-hosted instances.
  • Leverage Azure Cloud services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, and Azure SQL Database to support data pipelines and reporting workflows.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement fixes to ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Manage user access, security roles, and permissions in accordance with data governance policies.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, BI developers, cloud architects, and business users to support reporting and data integration needs.
  • Communicate proactively with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and resolve issues.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Coordinate with vendor support teams for upgrades, patches, and feature implementations.
  • Assist with user training and onboarding on reporting platforms and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with security standards, governance policies, and audit requirements.
Required Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred. Candidates should have experience administering SAP BusinessObjects (BOBJ), Power BI, and Tableau in enterprise environments. Strong knowledge of Snowflake, Oracle, and SQL Server, including connectivity and authentication methods, is required. Expertise with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure SQL Database is also necessary. The role demands strong communication and collaboration skills, along with experience in report scheduling, data refreshes, and reporting automation. Knowledge of security best practices, user provisioning, and role-based access controls is essential. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently are also required.

 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with scripting or automation tools related to reporting platforms.
  • Understanding of data governance and compliance frameworks.
  • Experience with cloud data platforms and integrations beyond Azure, including Snowflake.
