Job Description:
Location: Pensacola, Florida (Hybrid)
We are seeking an Instructional Designer to plan and manage instructional design projects. This role involves developing courses tailored to meet desired learning outcomes. The successful candidate will collaborate to implement strategies for educating and training employees to achieve higher levels of performance.
- Advise and assist trainers on course evaluation results.
- Collaborate with others to plan and design courses and curricula, ensuring content accuracy and testing multimedia elements.
- Conduct needs assessments to provide customized training or individual guidance.
- Create and edit new LMS learning activities and generate custom LMS reports.
- Develop dynamic instructional materials using current technologies, including references and support tools.
- Develop and test course content, training games, and graphic designs.
- Develop classroom, online, and independent learning program content.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of courses and learning products.
- Select the most effective instructional approach for a given project.
- Train internal team members on the use of classroom materials.
- Validate and integrate feedback into new and existing training course content.
- Conduct presentations for various groups, including executive leadership.
- Bachelor's Degree in Education, business, communication, behavioral sciences, training development, or a related field, or the equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.
- Ability to adapt to fluctuating work-flow.
- Experience in evaluating the effectiveness of courses and learning products.
- Experience in researching and writing course content or developing courses, demonstrations, and graphic designs.
- Advanced knowledge of instructional theories, educational psychology, educational theory, tools, and resources.
- Working knowledge of instructional design to develop courses for products, processes, and skills.
- Proficient in word processing and spreadsheet software skills.
- Effective organizational, planning, and time management skills.
- Effective research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Skill in communicating with all levels within an organization.
- Skill in assessing organizational training needs and researching topics for course development.
- Experience in multi-media training.
- Working knowledge of company products, services, programs, policies, and procedures.
