Location: Rolling Meadows, Illinois (Onsite)
Clearance: Secret Clearance
As an Integration & Test Systems Engineer, you will conduct integration testing and evaluate complex electronics systems from hardware/software design through aircraft installation. This role involves ensuring systems perform correctly and efficiently. You will be part of a team that gains a comprehensive understanding of the systems engineering process across a product's lifecycle.
- Generate test plans, test procedures, test automation, and test reports.
- Execute integration test activities such as system integration and design verification tests.
- Conduct tests in system integration labs or at offsite locations.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and firmware issues.
- Work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders across various disciplines.
Education: A BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field with over two years of related experience, or an MS degree in a relevant technical field is required.
Experience: Must have experience in the troubleshooting of hardware, software, and firmware issues. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to work in a collaborative environment.
Technical Skills: Experience with integration and testing for complex electronic systems is necessary. Knowledge of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) is required. Proficiency in MATLAB, C, C++, Java, or Python is also a requirement.
Candidates must be able to obtain an active DOD Secret clearance before starting
- An Active DOD Secret Clearance
- Experience in an integration and test environment for complex electronic systems evaluation.
- Experience performing Design Verification Tests, Environmental Qualification Testing, and Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) Qualification Testing.
- Working knowledge of DOORS and Verification Cross Reference Matrices (VCRMs).
- Working knowledge of EOIR systems, sensors, optics, RFEW systems, DSP, antenna design, computational electromagnetics, or RF test equipment.
- Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) concepts and tools (Cameo).
- Experience applying basic systems-engineering principles to develop and execute integration-test plans.
- Experience writing and executing test scripts.
- Ability to work independently with little oversight or direction.
- Willingness to travel.
