This position is for an Integrations Developer/Analyst. The primary responsibility is the development and maintenance of application integrations for the Customer Information Systems. Additional responsibilities include supporting the suite of applications, interacting with business application owners to identify needs, assessing business process improvements, and providing technical guidelines in application development and operations.
- Develop and maintain application programs, scripts, and system interfaces.
- Migrate existing integrations/applications to a similar integration platform.
- Gather business requirements and document specifications for application and integration development.
- Develop and implement processes for application migration, testing, and support maintenance.
- Interact with business application owners to identify business and technology needs.
- Assess business process improvements for operational efficiency.
- Provide technical and process guidelines in application development and operations.
- Provide production support for the integration platform and interfacing systems.
- Prioritize and assign target completion dates for fixes and change orders.
- Follow existing business processes and operational guidelines for support and maintenance activities.
- Work with various internal teams to deliver timely services and deliverables.
- Follow through on project and production issues to ensure resolution and root-cause analysis.
- Coordinate with staff and vendors for application support and issue resolution.
- Support 24x7 business operations and be available onsite during business hours.
Education:
A college degree, preferably in the fields of Computer Science or Computer Engineering, is required.
Experience:
- A minimum of two years of working experience in developing and maintaining integrations/applications on platforms such as Tibco BusinessWorks, MuleSoft, IBM Ace, IBM WebMethods, Koodisi, or Amplify Fusion.
- A minimum of two years of working experience using message brokers like Apache Kafka, Apache ActiveMQ, IBM MQ, IBM WebMethods Universal Messaging, or Solace PubSub.
- A minimum of three years of proven work experience as an applications developer.
- Working experience in supporting and maintaining Customer Information Systems (e.g., enQuesta), Meter Data Management Systems (e.g., EnergyIP), or other full-cycle utilities integrated solutions.
- Experience acting as the primary contact in dealing with client and vendor requests.
- Experience in providing production support for business applications, including troubleshooting and resolving application-related issues.
- Experience in applications development, version upgrades, and system implementation.
- Working experience or knowledge in maintaining reports using tools such as Cognos, Crystal Reports, Power BI, Business Objects, or Tableau.
- Working experience or knowledge with relational databases such as Oracle and/or MS SQL Server.
- Hands-on programming experience using SQL, PL/SQL, or equivalent versions.
Skills:
- Problem-solving, troubleshooting, and issue resolution skills.
- Ability to multi-task and provide off-hours support for production-related issues.
- Verbal communication, interpersonal skills, and technical writing/documentation skills.
- Ability to train business application users and develop technical documentation.
