Job Description:
Location: Richmond, Virginia (Onsite)
In this role, you will work in a collaborative environment to contribute to the development, modification, testing, implementation, and evaluation of solutions using Angular and JAVA frameworks in the AWS Cloud. You will analyze existing solutions, formulate requirements, perform coding, and test and debug applications. This position utilizes an Agile development process.
- Contribute to the development, testing, implementation, and review of complex solutions that reside and are executed in an Angular/Java environment in the AWS Cloud.
- Provide programming support for complex solutions, develop software from established requirements, appropriately deploy code, and offer insight on the feasibility of system designs.
- Contribute to the design of technology infrastructure and configurations and recommend process improvements.
- Review complex patches and new versions of applications, implement complex software packages, and deploy code.
- Compile and maintain technical documentation, including use cases and scripts, and conduct technical research to maintain knowledge of technology trends.
- Participate in cross-functional team initiatives and process improvement projects.
- May require extended work hours, on-call status, and occasional travel including overnight stays (15% or less).
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Experience: At least 5 years of experience in core Java, Python, and NodeJS coding, including an understanding of optimization, performance ramifications of coding decisions, and object-oriented design. Experience with Agile methodology is required.
Technical Skills: Front-end development skills using Angular (8 and above) with deep knowledge of its practices and modules. Application development experience with Spring, Hibernate, SQL, JUnit, J2EE, Maven, JAXB, JSON, XML, Microservices, and log4j2. Experience with REST APIs, Mini Services, and DevSecOps. Proficiency with AWS technologies (serverless, containers, RDS, storage, migration services) and cloud technologies with reusable patterns. Experience in Bootstrap, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS, and unit testing (Jest/Karma/Jasmine).
