Front End Developer (Senior & Mid)

Location: San Antonio, Texas (Onsite)

Employment Type: Contract

 

Role Overview

We are seeking a Front End Developer to provide subject matter proficiency for front-end design and development efforts. This role involves providing analytical skills to support process improvement, specialized studies, and the definition of requirements. The developer will perform engineering tasks such as creating technical design drawings, mockups, and wireframes, as well as planning and implementing modifications to Graphic User Interfaces (GUIs).

 

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide analytical skills for process improvement, specialized studies, and requirement definition.
  • Perform analysis, planning, and development of requirements documents and functional models.
  • Develop procedures and functional architectures.
  • Create technical design drawings, mockups, wireframes, and other documentation for review.
  • Plan and implement modifications to Graphic User Interfaces (GUIs).
  • Construct and optimize various UI elements and system navigation practices.
  • Facilitate ease of use for user-facing feature development.
  • Prepare, conduct, and document system tests to verify operability and compliance.
Required Qualifications (Senior)

Education: A Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required. A Master’s degree may substitute for 2 years of experience.

 

Experience:

  • 10 years of experience in the functional area.
  • 10 years of software development experience in object-oriented and scripted languages.
  • 5 years of recent and relevant experience in front-end web design and development.
  • 5 years of experience leading software development programs or projects.
  • 5 years of experience testing web-based applications.
  • Practical experience developing in a cloud environment.
  • Demonstrated experience engaging in agile, user-centric application design.

 

Technical Skills:

  • 5 years of experience with bug tracking software such as Jira.
  • 5 years of experience with Jenkins and GitLab.
  • 5 years of experience with at least five of the following: Apache, Ember, Javascript, Jaguar, Java, Cricket, Node.

 

Desired Qualifications (Senior)
  • Experience using Agile Test-Driven development.
  • Experience integrating into DoD DevSecOps environments.
  • Demonstrated experience utilizing UX design tool suites (e.g., Sketch, InVision).
  • 5 years of experience with CI/CD software development.
Required Qualifications (Mid-Level)

Education: A Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required. A Master’s degree may substitute for 2 years of experience.

 

Experience:

  • 7 years of experience in the functional area.
  • 7 years of software development experience in object-oriented and scripted languages.
  • 3 years of recent and relevant experience in front-end web design and development.
  • 3 years of experience participating in software development programs or projects.
  • 3 years of experience testing web-based applications.
  • Practical experience developing in a cloud environment.
  • Experience with integrating data from unclassified to classified application deployments.

 

Technical Skills:

  • 3 years of experience with bug tracking software such as Jira.
  • 5 years of experience with Jenkins and GitLab.
  • 5 years of experience with at least five of the following: Apache, Ember, Javascript, Jaguar, Java, Cricket, Node.

 

Desired Qualifications (Mid-Level)
  • Experience using Agile Test-Driven development.

Clearance Requirements

Must be able to obtain or maintain a DOD TS/SCI security clearance. Candidates with a Secret clearance that can be upgraded will be considered.
