Role Overview

A position is available for a Sr. Lease and Contracts Analyst to assist with the administration and control of lease records processes for producing and non-producing properties. This role involves interpreting contracts and leases, resolving technical and procedural issues, and ensuring data accuracy. The position supports business units by preparing exhibits and reports.

 
Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and input lease data to ensure completeness, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Prepare full and partial releases, assignments, and Exhibit A’s for producing properties.
* Assist with working monthly calendars for leases and support Land Operations as requested.
  • Conduct lease and unit reviews for shut-in wells and process payments, subject to review and approval.
  • Identify and track contractual obligations associated with lease acquisitions, trades, and divestitures.
* Assist with special departmental projects, including acquisitions and divestitures.
  • Ensure the continuous development of leases is accurately tracked and be responsible for an area of operation.
  • Interpret contracts and leases for all properties, identifying and resolving technical, data-related, and process/procedural issues.
* Process and track partner offerings and make necessary updates to records.
  • Prepare agreement exhibits, and lease/acreage reports for business units and upper management.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for landowners and other stakeholders, resolving issues about property status and land administration procedure.
* Maintain affiliations with local/national associations through active participation in meetings and networking events.
Required Qualifications

Education: A Bachelor’s degree is required.

 

Experience: A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience is required. Knowledge of basic land principles and their application is necessary, with the ability to analyze land data for entry into a land data management system. Experience with projects of increased complexity under general direction is expected.

 

Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and willing to learn other computer applications.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple projects.
  • Capacity to handle confidential and proprietary company data.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
  • General understanding of land terminology and contracts.
 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Quorum Land System or SAP experience.
  • New Mexico lease and contracts experience.
