Client: Big Five Bank, Chief Data Office

Terms: 6 month contract - possibility to extend

Location: Hybrid, Thursday and every 4th Friday


Apex Systems is a global IT services provider and our staffing practice has an opening for strong Change Manager professional who is proficient with change management & roadmap strategy, stakeholder engagement and utilizes Prosci methodologies to be placed at our client, a top five bank in Canada.

We have placed multiple people on this very team and have personally qualified the requirement with the hiring manager.


Purpose

The Architecture, Data & Analytics (ADA) team focuses on building out enterprise-wide Architecture, Data & Analytics capabilities by developing multi-year strategies and establishing client data as a strategic asset for various LOBs.


As the Consultant, Change Management & Communication, you will play a key role in successfully supporting transformational changes within data & analytics teams. You will use Prosci, our enterprise wide change management approach, to lead the People Change Management workstreams across various projects in order to achieve the desired employee adoption and behavioral changes required to achieve benefit realization.

You will perform:

Leadership Alignment & Engagement:

1.  Conduct high-level leadership interviews to align on the future state and change narrative to engage in the “why, what, and how” the change will create buy-in and lasting behavioral change.

2.  Change Management & Communications Strategies

1.  Change Strategy & Roadmap: Support the bank to create and design a change strategy and roadmap with key change activities including adoption and learning approach for both tech & business stakeholders. Hold initial Leadership alignment sessions to ensure buy in across LoBs on Change Strategy approach. Establish and coordinate the change network setup, running and governance. Define the strategy/plan for LOB role on-boarding (with help from LOB business partners to implement)

2.  Communications Strategy & Plan: Support the bank on the development of a communications strategy aligned to change strategy for internal colleagues only. Define channels (e.g. AMAs, Townhalls , newsletter) and cadence for program communications aligned to change roadmap and tactics. Ongoing engagement with LoB Leadership to ensure awareness and ongoing commitment

3.  Readiness Assessment (In Line With Data Mesh / Data Governance workstreams)

1.  Current/Target State assessment: Provide support to determine and document change management requirements based on delta between current & target State – working closely with Data Mesh & Data Governance workstreams

2.  Stakeholder/Change Impact Assessment: Help identify and conduct stakeholder (internal only) impact & a change assessment plan. Advise on how to perform role mapping aligned to organization impact (i.e. new roles) and identify changes to role descriptions, if any

3.  Training Needs Assessment: Advise on approach to identify learning needs for impacted stakeholder groups – help document outputs

4.  Learning & Training Plan: Advise and help define the training approach & plan and curriculum outline for impacted roles, with emphasis on Data Mesh vs Azure system / tool training.

4.  Driving Adoption & New EDGE Opportunities (Adoption Monitoring)

1.  Change Adoption Metrics: Advise on proposed adoption metrics to measure success

2.  Adoption Monitoring: Establish monitoring and reporting framework to measure adoption progress and outline corrective actions to resolve issues. Work collaboratively with Leadership to ensure ongoing alignment/commitment as changes are implemented. Leverage Change Network at the LoB level, to help with embedding, engagement and issue resolution


Must Haves:

•   Up to 5 years of Change Management experience

•   Prosci methodology & Proxima (two and from assessments) – create and design a change strategy and roadmap with key change activities including adoption and learning approach for both tech & business stakeholders.

•   Stakeholder engagement & relationship management

•   Coaching, training and identifying learning needs for impacted stakeholder groups – help document outputs
